Texas Social Media Marketing
Texas is not one audience. The language people speak at home and the apps they use change from one city to the next. We plan organic posts and paid ads market by market, starting with the one that matters most to your business.
Texas social media marketing works one market at a time
Texas social media marketing from KeyGrow means organic posts and paid Facebook and Instagram ads, planned for the Texas markets where you actually sell. We work with businesses across the state. Each market you pick gets its own language, offer and ad settings, so your posts and ads fit the people there. We usually suggest getting one market working before you add the next.
What one statewide plan has to average away
Census figures for 2020 to 2024 show how far apart Texas markets sit. In El Paso, 64% of residents age 5 and up speak Spanish at home. In Lubbock, 16% do. In Plano, 38% speak a language other than English, but only 12% speak Spanish.
App use shifts too. Pew Research found that 55% of urban US adults use Instagram, against 37% of rural adults. One statewide calendar and one ad set have to sit in the middle of all that, and the middle fits almost nobody.
Decide which markets get real attention
Our Texas social media marketing work starts by naming the markets that matter to your business. Each one we pick gets its own creative, language, offer, targeting and results line. That is a business decision before it is a marketing one, and it usually shrinks the list.
For most businesses, the honest answer is one market done well and the rest left for later. Every extra market means more posts, more ads and more replies to handle. Production breaks first, so we would rather agree on that in the first meeting than find out in month five.
A Plan per Market
Each market you choose gets its own language, offer and numbers. Our eight Texas city pages each make a different case, because the cities differ.
Fewer Markets, Done Well
Our usual advice is one market done properly rather than three done thinly. That often means buying less than you planned.
The Right Language for Each
One Meta ad can carry several languages, and each person sees the version in their own. We use that where a market needs it, and skip it where it does not.
The problems we solve in Texas
What goes wrong when one plan tries to cover several Texas markets at once.
English-Only Ads in a Spanish-First Market
In El Paso, most residents speak Spanish at home. An English-only ad set there skips much of the market before it starts.
Spanish as the Only Second Language
In Plano, more residents speak other languages at home than speak Spanish. A Spanish version alone misses most of them.
One Calendar for City and Country
Rural adults use Instagram far less than urban adults, according to Pew. A plan built for a big-city feed can miss much of a rural market.
Housing and Lending Ads Built Like Retail
Meta limits targeting for housing, job and financial ads. Plans that count on age or ZIP code targeting waste money or face rejection.
Production Stretched Thin
Three markets promised their own content, and one team making it. By month four, two of the three are reposts of the first.
Replies in the Wrong Language
A Spanish ad brings messages in Spanish. If nobody on your team can answer them, the ad creates leads you cannot serve.
Texas social media marketing, market by market
Statewide, 35% of Texas residents speak a language other than English at home, and 28% speak Spanish. Those averages tell you little about any one city. Plan from the city you sell in, not from the state number.
Meta can help with the language side. One ad can carry several languages, and people see the version that matches their own. Meta also offers AI translation of ad text from English into Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hindi and other languages. A translation is still not a plan, so we check that the offer and the replies fit each market too.
The practical upshot: pick the markets where you have customers and the staff to answer them. Set the language and offer for each one. Leave the rest for later, and say so out loud.
Language at home in five Texas cities (Census, 2020 to 2024)
- El Paso: 64% speak Spanish
- San Antonio: 36% speak Spanish
- Austin: 30% speak something other than English
- Plano: 38% speak another language, 12% Spanish
- Lubbock: 16% speak Spanish
Social media advertising in Texas and the channels around it
Social rarely works alone, and in some Texas markets it is not where we would start. Here is how the pieces fit together.
Selling in more than one Texas market?
Get a Texas social reviewHow we run paid social across Texas markets
Meta lets you set the location, language and offer for each ad set. That is where we handle most of the difference between Texas markets.
Language Set per Market
One Meta ad can show each person the version in their language. We write each version with care instead of trusting a rough translation.
Location Set per Market
Each ad set targets the market we wrote it for. An offer built for one city should not run in front of people in another.
Special Ad Categories
Housing, jobs and financial products run with limited targeting. Age, gender and ZIP code options shrink or disappear, and Meta widens city targeting to an expanded radius.
Retargeting per Market
People who engaged with one market's posts see that market's offer next. Mixing those lists sends people offers they cannot use.
Creative You Can Keep Up With
Each market needs fresh ads. We plan only as many markets as your budget can keep supplied with new creative.

Social Media in Texas, answered
What owners selling across Texas ask before they plan social.
It can, but it will speak to none of them well. If you sell in several markets, pick one to do properly, or fund separate posts and ads for each. One shared account with market-specific ads is a fair middle ground.
The one where you already have customers and can answer leads quickly. Your ability to serve a market matters more than its size. Once one market works, the next is easier to plan.
It depends on the market. In El Paso, most residents speak Spanish at home, while in Lubbock about 1 in 6 do. Only run Spanish ads where you can also answer messages and calls in Spanish.
Meta requires housing, job and financial ads to run in its Special Ad Categories. Meta limits or removes age, gender and ZIP code targeting, and it widens city targeting to an expanded radius. So the ad itself has to do more of the work of finding the right people.
The number of markets, the number of languages and your ad spend. Each market needs its own posts and ads, so costs climb with every market you add. You set the ad budget, Meta bills it to your own account, and we quote our part after an audit.
It depends on who you sell to and where. Pew found that 55% of urban US adults use Instagram, but only 37% of rural adults do. We usually start with Facebook and Instagram and add others only when your customers are there.
Paid ads can start within days, once Meta approves them. Organic posts in a new market take months to build an audience. If you need leads this quarter, plan on paid first.
Usually not. Splitting markets across agencies splits your data and your brand. One team can plan several markets, as long as each one gets its own content.
For organic posts, saves, shares and messages from people in that market. For ads, cost per lead and how many leads became customers. We also track how fast your team answers messages in each market, since slow replies waste good leads.
Yes, and nothing runs without your sign-off. The pages, ad accounts and every piece of content stay in your business name. Terms are month to month, so you can stop whenever you like.
Texas social media marketing by city
Each city below has its own page with its own argument, because each market asks something different of your posts and ads.
