Financial advisor web design with the rules built in

Our financial advisor web design is for RIAs, planners and hybrid firms, and it starts with the rules you answer to. We build sites that say who you serve and how you charge. Client reviews carry the disclosures they need, and Form CRS sits where a reader can find it. Your compliance team reviews every page before launch. Most sites go live in six to eight weeks.

  • Reviews you can useClient reviews with their disclosure labels, set up for your compliance review.

  • Fees stated plainlyHow you charge, your minimum and who you serve, in words a prospect can follow.

Our work

Finance sites we have built

Our finance builds come first: a mortgage lead site and a tech platform. Neither is an advisory firm, so look at them for the build quality.

Why KeyGrow

Why advisors work with KeyGrow

We build for your reviewer as much as for your prospects.

If your site still treats client reviews as off limits, the rules have moved past it. SEC-registered advisers may show them, as long as the right disclosures sit beside them.

So we design the disclosures in from the start. Each review carries its labels. Form CRS gets a clear link in the menu and the footer. If FINRA covers your firm, each advisor bio gets a BrokerCheck link.

Then we fill the site with what prospects want to know. You are free to say who you serve, how you charge, your minimum and what working together looks like. Your compliance team marks up each page before launch, and we keep a dated copy of every version.

Lead pages with a record

Four lead pages we built raised conversion rates by 70% to 120% within 3 to 5 weeks. One is the mortgage page in the slider above.

Disclosures in the templates

Review labels, Form CRS links and BrokerCheck links are part of the page templates, so new pages start out right.

Words prospects can use

We write about who you serve and how you charge, which is what prospects came to find out.

Edits that stay on record

After launch your team edits pages itself, and each edit saves a dated copy. Bug fixes are free for the first 30 days.

Industry guide

What the SEC and FINRA mean for your site

Each point links to the rule or the statement behind it. Treat this as a planning guide, not legal advice.

Client reviews are allowed now

The SEC Marketing Rule took effect on May 4, 2021, with a compliance date of November 4, 2022. It lets SEC-registered advisers use client testimonials. The ad must say clearly and prominently whether the person is a client and whether the adviser paid them.

What it means for your siteeach review block carries those two labels and a spot for any conflict note. Your compliance team approves the wording once, and every new review uses it.

Form CRS has to be easy to find

In a December 2021 statement, SEC staff said Form CRS was hard to find on some firm websites. Some took a long search, and some they never found. They flagged small link text, vague labels like "regulatory disclosures" and links several clicks from the home page.

What it means for your siteForm CRS gets a plain label in the main menu and the footer, one click from the home page.

BrokerCheck goes on profiles

FINRA Rule 2210 says a member firm's website needs a readily apparent BrokerCheck link. It goes on the main page for retail investors and on any page with an advisor's profile.

What it means for your siteevery advisor bio template includes the link, so a new hire's page goes live with it already in place.

What you get

What our financial advisor web design covers

Every part maps to a rule, a reviewer's question or a prospect's question.

Review blocks with labels

Each review says whether the person is a client and whether you paid them, with room for any conflict note your team requires.

A Form CRS link people find

A plain, labeled link in the menu and the footer, one click from any page.

BrokerCheck where it applies

For FINRA member firms, the link sits on the main page and on every advisor profile.

Fee and minimum pages

Fee-only, fee-based or commission, plus your minimum, in plain words your team approves.

Who-we-serve pages

Pages for the clients you serve best, such as business owners, doctors or people close to retirement.

A dated page archive

A saved, dated copy of every page version, so your books and records cover the website too.

Side by side

How it works

How an advisor site gets built and approved

We plan around your compliance review, so approval gets its own slot on the calendar.

Want to plan ahead? Read whether WordPress is good for SEO

  1. Week 1

    Map your rules

We confirm whether you register with the SEC, a state, FINRA or more than one. That decides which labels and links each page needs.

  2. Weeks 1 to 2

    Fees, clients and bios

Our writers draft your fee page, your who-we-serve pages and each advisor profile in plain words.

  3. Weeks 2 to 4

    Design with disclosures in place

You see the home page and one profile page first, with the review labels and required links already placed.

  4. Weeks 4 to 6

    Build and compliance markup

We build the site at a private test address. Your compliance team marks up each page, and we make every change.

  5. Weeks 6 to 8

    Launch and archive

We launch, save a dated copy of every page and fix bugs free for 30 days. We save each later edit the same way.

Plans and pricing

Plans for advisory firms of any size

You pay once for each plan, and every plan includes the writing and the WordPress build. A solo RIA with a fee page, a who-we-serve page and one bio often fits the $1,400 plan. Firms with several advisors, each with a profile, usually need a bigger site.

FAQ

Financial advisor web design questions, answered

For advisors and the compliance staff who review their sites. Still curious? Email sales@keygrow.co.

If you are an SEC-registered adviser, yes, under the Marketing Rule's terms. Each review must say clearly whether the person is a client and whether you paid them. Your compliance team approves the setup before anything goes live.

In the main menu and the footer, one click from any page. Use a label that says what it is, such as Client Relationship Summary. A link hidden under a vague heading is the problem SEC staff flagged.

If you are a FINRA member firm, each profile page needs a BrokerCheck link. CFP professionals should show the mark with the ® symbol, the way CFP Board asks. Beyond that, list real credentials and the clients each advisor works with.

No. CFP Board bars certificants from using the CFP mark in domain names and email addresses. We help you pick a web address built on your firm name instead.

Carefully. For SEC-registered advisers, gross returns need net returns beside them. FINRA bars ads that predict or project returns. Your compliance team decides whether returns appear at all.

Prospects want to know how you charge before they call. A clear page on fee-only versus commission, plus your minimum, saves both sides a wasted meeting. Your team approves the exact words.

We save a dated copy of each page at launch and after every edit. Your compliance team decides which pages count as ads, and the archive keeps all of them, so nothing is missing when someone asks.

A firm with one or two advisors often fits the $1,400 plan, up to six pages. More advisors and more client pages call for a bigger site at $2,800, and 30 or more pages cost $5,600. You pay each price once, and the copy comes with it.

Most advisor sites launch in six to eight weeks. We put the review in weeks four to six, so your team has time to mark up every page.

Yes. Your team edits pages in WordPress with no code, and each edit saves a dated copy, so the record stays whole. For the first 30 days, we also fix any bugs for free.
