Car dealership website design with nothing hidden

Car dealership website design starts with the vehicle page, because each one is a price ad. We design your search and vehicle pages so the price any buyer can pay is the biggest number. Required fees sit inside it, and sold cars drop off. Then we write the pages around them that sell your store.

  • The full price, firstThe number a buyer can really pay is the largest amount on search and vehicle pages.
  • Fees inside the numberRequired dealer fees, like a doc fee, are part of the price you show.
  • Inventory that stays trueSold units leave with the next feed update, and in-transit cars say so.
  • Payment quotes with termsAny monthly payment you show comes with the APR, down payment and term beside it.

Why KeyGrow

Why dealers hire KeyGrow

We start from the rules and the feed, because that's where dealer sites go wrong.

In March 2026 the FTC sent letters to 97 auto groups. The message: an advertised price must be the total price, with every required fee in it. In September, FTC staff published pricing FAQs that name inventory-search pages and vehicle pages directly.

Most of the fix is design and data. Your vehicle page template decides which number is biggest, where the fees go and what sits next to a payment quote. Your inventory feed decides whether a sold car leaves tonight or next week. Get both right once and every page follows.

We are not your lawyers, so your compliance team signs off on the rules. Our job is to build them into the site, so nobody has to remember them on a busy Saturday.

Rules before looks

We design to the FTC staff guidance and your own pricing rules first, then make it look good.

Forms that convert

Our landing page for Qualify Before You Buy used a 5-step form and raised its conversion rate 85% in 4 weeks. We take the same step-by-step approach to finance requests.

Ads and search in-house

We run Google Ads and SEO too, so vehicle pages are ready for shoppers coming from either one.

Straight talk on scope

If your feed needs custom work, you hear it in the free review, with a price, before you sign anything.

Industry guide

What the FTC and CFPB say about your vehicle pages

Four points from federal guidance and rules that land on dealer websites, and what we build because of each.

The price comes first

FTC staff FAQs from September 2026 cover any webpage that states an amount a buyer may pay. On those pages, the actual price must be the most prominent amount, and that includes inventory-search and vehicle pages.

What it means for your siteEvery template we design makes that price the largest number on the page. Rebates, discounts and payments sit under it, in smaller type.

Fees go inside it

The same FAQs say a required document fee belongs in the advertised price. Their example: if a $40,000 car carries an $85 document fee, the advertised price must be $40,085.

What it means for your siteWe set up your templates to add required dealer fees to the price before it shows, on every page at once.

Sold means gone

The FAQs call advertising a car that is no longer available, just to draw people in, a deceptive tactic. A listing for a car still in transit must make clear it is not on the lot.

What it means for your siteYour feed takes sold cars off at the next update, and an in-transit label switches on for cars that are on the way.

Payments need the full terms

Regulation Z, a CFPB rule, covers ads that state a payment amount, a down payment or a number of payments. Those ads must also state the down payment, the repayment terms and the APR.

What it means for your siteAny payment estimate on a vehicle page shows those terms right beside it, with numbers your finance team supplies.

What you get

Our car dealership website design covers

Your inventory is the heart of the site, and these are the parts we build around it.

Vehicle page templates

One design for every car you list: price, fees, photos, features and a clear next step, laid out for a phone.

Inventory feed setup

We connect the feed your inventory tool exports, then time how long a sold car takes to come off.

Search and filter pages

Filters for price, mileage, body style and make that keep the real price in view on every result.

Trade-in and finance requests

Step-by-step forms, or the lender tool you already use, placed on each vehicle page.

Service department pages

Service booking, hours and specials for the drivers you already sold.

Store and staff pages

Who works where, how to reach them and why a buyer should pick your store.

Side by side

A basic site or a live inventory site?

Both can work. The difference is how your cars get onto the site, and what that costs.

How it works

How a dealer site comes together

The feed gets the longest test, because it touches every vehicle page you have.

Want to plan ahead? Read when ads need their own landing page

  1. Week 1

    Audit your listings

We read your current vehicle pages the way a shopper would and note every amount, fee and payment claim.

  2. Weeks 1 to 2

    Check the feed

We look at how your inventory tool sends cars out, how often it updates and which fields it includes.

  3. Weeks 2 to 3

    Set the price rules

Your team confirms which fees go into the price and which payment examples you allow on the site.

  4. Weeks 3 to 6

    Design the templates

Vehicle, search, finance and store pages, designed for a shopper on a phone.

  5. Weeks 6 to 10

    Build and run the feed

We build on WordPress, connect the feed and watch it through many updates before launch.

  6. Weeks 10 to 12

    Launch and watch

We go live, keep checking that sold cars drop off and fix any bug for 30 days.

Plans and pricing

What a dealer site costs when inventory is live

Our plans cover the design, the writing and the WordPress build for the pages around your inventory. A small lot that links to listings hosted elsewhere can fit the $1,400 or $2,800 plan. A live feed that builds a page for every car is more than a basic site, and we will not pretend otherwise.

FAQ

Car dealership website design questions

What dealers ask us first. Still curious? Email sales@keygrow.co.

If your inventory tool can export a feed, we can build your vehicle pages from it. We check its format and update schedule in the free review, before we price the work.

As fast as your feed updates. Some tools update several times a day, some only once a night. We test it before launch, because a car that sold yesterday is still an ad on your site today.

FTC staff FAQs from September 2026 say the actual price must be the most prominent amount on vehicle and inventory-search pages. Your lawyer has the final word, and we build the pages to match what they decide.

Yes, according to the FTC FAQs, as long as the price any buyer can pay stays the most prominent amount. We put rebates on a smaller line under it, with who qualifies.

You can, but a payment amount brings Regulation Z disclosures with it: the down payment, the repayment terms and the APR. Your finance team supplies the numbers, and we display them next to the payment.

You can, if the car is really on its way and will be for sale when it arrives. The FTC FAQs say the listing must make clear it is not on the lot yet, and a representative photo is fine. We add an in-transit label your feed can switch on.

Yes. Service booking, hours and specials get their own section, written for the drivers you already sold. It can sit on the same site or link to the booking tool your service team uses.

Yes. If your franchise agreement includes website rules, send them over and we design within them, from logo use to the pages it requires.

It depends on the inventory. A small lot whose listings live elsewhere can fit our $1,400 or $2,800 plan. A live feed that builds every vehicle page on your site gets a custom quote after a free review.

Six to eight weeks without a live feed. With one, plan on 10 to 12 weeks, the range we give for large builds, because we test the feed through many updates before launch.

Yes. Your team edits pages, specials and staff bios in WordPress. Vehicle details come from the feed, so nobody has to retype a window sticker.
