Family law web design that protects the first contact

Family law web design from KeyGrow starts where your clients feel most exposed: the first contact. We build sites for firms that handle divorce, custody and support cases. The intake is safe for the reader and clean for your conflict checks. Readers get a quick exit and a private way to reach you. Your team gets requests it can act on. Most sites go live in six to eight weeks.

Why KeyGrow

Why family law firms work with us

We treat the first form as the most important page on your site.

A family law site has a problem most sites never face. The person reading may be hiding the search from a spouse. And that spouse may land on your site the same week.

So we start with the first contact. A quick exit button gets a reader off the page in one tap, and a short note says it does not clear their history. The first form asks only for the names you need to run a conflict check. The story can wait. It also asks how and when it is safe to reply.

Then we write the pages that settle nerves. They cover what happens first, how long each stage tends to take and how you bill against a retainer. A reader who knows the next step finds it much easier to pick up the phone.

Law firm pages are not new to us

We have built pages for an eviction firm and an estate planning firm. Both had to give people under stress one clear next step.

We plan for the other spouse

Your intake has to hold up on the day the other party fills it in. We design for that day from the start.

Your lawyers have the last word

We write the pages, but nothing about procedure or the form notice goes live until a lawyer at your firm approves it.

Free fixes for a month

For 30 days after launch, bug fixes cost you nothing. Then your staff edits pages, or a monthly care plan covers it.

Industry guide

Three facts that shape a family law site

Each point comes from the rule or the group that wrote it. None of it is legal advice, and your lawyers have the final word.

A web form can start a duty

Under comment 2 to ABA Model Rule 1.18, an ad that invites case details without clear warnings can turn the sender into a prospective client. Comment 4 adds that the first talk should stick to what the lawyer needs to decide on the case.

What it means for your sitethe first form asks only for names and the type of case, with a short warning above the send button. The full story waits until your conflict check clears.

A quick exit has limits

The National Network to End Domestic Violence runs the Safety Net Project. It says a quick exit button helps only if someone walks in or looks over a shoulder. It does not stop a person from checking browser history or watching a device from afar.

What it means for your sitewe add the button plus a one-line note that points readers to a safer device or a private window. The form also lets them choose a safe way and time to hear back.

"Specialist" needs a certificate

Under ABA Model Rule 7.2(c), a lawyer may not say or suggest they are a certified specialist unless an approved or ABA-accredited group certified them. The ad must also name that group.

What it means for your sitebios use the exact certification and name the board that granted it. Lawyers without one describe the work they do in plain terms.

What you get

What you get with family law web design

Each part below answers a risk or a question that family law clients bring to a website.

A quick exit on every page

One tap swaps your site for a neutral page, like a weather site. A short note explains that it does not erase browser history.

Safe reply choices

The form asks whether to call, text or email, and when. Auto-replies only go to a route the client marked as safe.

A conflict-check first step

Step one asks for the client name, the other party and the type of case. Details wait until your team clears the check.

A clear notice by the form

Plain words say that sending the form does not make them a client, and ask them to hold details for the call. Your lawyers approve the wording.

A page for each kind of case

Divorce, custody, child support, protective orders and changes to old orders each get a page with its own steps and questions.

Process and retainer pages

What happens first, what a temporary order does, and how you bill against a retainer and ask for more, in words anyone can follow.

How it works

How a family law site comes together

We build the intake first, since it carries the most risk. The rest of the site hangs off it.

  1. Week 1

    Map the first contact

We walk through how a new client reaches you today. Then we plan the exit button, the reply choices and the conflict-check fields with your team.

  2. Weeks 1 to 2

    Case pages and process maps

We list the cases you take and write a page for each one. Every page says what happens first and how long each stage tends to run in your courts.

  3. Weeks 2 to 4

    A calm design

You see the home page and one case page first. The look stays plain and quiet, with the exit button and phone number always in reach.

  4. Weeks 4 to 6

    Build and test the intake

We build the site and try the exit button and every form on real phones. We also check that no reply goes to a route the client did not pick.

  5. Weeks 6 to 8

    Lawyer review and launch

Your lawyers read every page and the form notice before launch. Once the site is live, we fix bugs for free for 30 days.

Checklist

A family law web design launch checklist

  • The safety note is honestIt says the button does not clear history and suggests a safer device.
  • Step one asks only for namesClient name, other party and type of case. The details come later.
  • The form notice is in plain wordsSending the form does not make anyone a client, and details can wait for the call.
  • Each type of case has its own pageDivorce, custody, support and protective orders are different problems, and each page should say so.
  • The retainer is explainedHow you bill against it, when you ask for more, and what happens to money left over.
  • Bios match the rulesCertification only where it exists, with the board that granted it named.
  • A lawyer approved every pageProcedure differs from court to court, so your team reads each page before launch.
Plans and pricing

What a family law site costs

You pay once for the design, the writing and the build. A solo lawyer with three or four case types often fits the $1,400 plan. A firm with a page for every type of case and bios for several lawyers will want the room of a bigger site.

FAQ

Family law web design questions

The intake and safety questions we hear most. Still curious? Email sales@keygrow.co.

Some readers live with the person they are leaving. A quick exit swaps your page for a neutral one in one tap if someone walks in. It does not erase browser history, so we add a short note that says so.

That is why step one asks only for names and the type of case. Your team can run a conflict check before anyone shares details. A short notice by the form asks people to hold their story until you call.

Yes. Names, the type of case, the county and a safe way to reply are enough to decide who calls back. The deeper questions move to the call, or to a second form once the check is clear.

Only if a recognized board certified them, and the site names that board. In Texas, Rule 7.02(b) lets a lawyer certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization say Board Certified, Family Law, with the board's name. Others can say what they practice.

Yes. Many clients have never paid a retainer and do not know you bill against it and ask them to refill it. One plain page on how billing works heads off hard talks later. Your lawyers set the terms, and we write them so anyone can follow.

If you take those cases, yes. Someone seeking one needs the steps and a safe way to reach you, fast. That page gets the quick exit, a phone number at the top and no long forms.

Not from the site. Auto-replies only go to the contact route the client marked as safe. You can also turn them off and reply by hand.

Page count sets the price, and you pay it once. Up to six pages is $1,400, bigger sites are $2,800 and sites of 30 or more pages are $5,600. The writing and a WordPress build come with every plan.

Most go live in six to eight weeks. The intake takes the most care, so we build and test it first. A small site with a few case pages can launch in four to five weeks.

Yes. Your team can edit text, update a fee or add a case page in WordPress without code. We train them before launch and fix bugs for free for the first 30 days.
