Home service website design built on a true service area

KeyGrow's home service website design starts with the question every caller asks first: do you come to my street? We build sites for plumbers, roofers, cleaners and other trades. Each one shows exactly where you work, what a trip out costs and how soon you can arrive, then makes booking simple. Most builds go live in six to eight weeks.

  • Callers know right awayYour towns and your drive-time edge appear on every page, so nobody has to call just to ask.
  • Trip fees with no surpriseFees and job minimums by zone, stated before anyone books a visit.
  • Fewer calls to turn downThe form asks for the job address first and answers people outside your area on the spot.
  • Area pages with substancePages only for places you work, each with something true about the jobs you do there.

Our work

Home service sites we built and launched

Our home service builds come first, starting with two junk removal companies. Open any site to see how the service list, the contact path and the quote form sit on a phone.

Why KeyGrow

Why home service owners pick KeyGrow

We build for trades that win most of their work by phone, and we run the search and ads that make the phone ring.

Before a homeowner looks at your reviews or your prices, they want to know one thing. Will you come out to their house? A footer line like 'serving the greater metro area' doesn't answer that. Neither does a block of 40 ZIP codes. So they call to ask, or they call the next company on the list.

We build the site around the ground you cover. That means the towns you cover and a drive-time edge measured from your shop. Past that edge, it means the trip fee and the smallest job worth the drive. The quote form asks for the job address first, so someone outside your area finds out in seconds instead of after a ten-minute call.

Clear edges cut waste on both ends. Your office stops fielding calls it would turn down anyway. And the fees you list up front stop showing up as a surprise at the door.

We start with dispatch, not design

Whoever books your jobs knows where the trucks really go. We turn that knowledge into your area page.

Proof from home service builds

On the Easy Cleanouts rebuild, visitors went from 1.2 pages per visit to 3.8, and lead form submissions rose 180% in 8 weeks.

One area across site and ads

We also run SEO and Google Ads, so your site, your ads and your profile all describe the same towns.

A month of fixes

We stay on for 30 days after launch, check the out-of-area replies and fix any bug for free.

Three facts that change what a trade site should say

Each fact below comes from the source that set it, with what it changes about your site.

Google caps the drive

Google's Business Profile help says your overall service area shouldn't reach more than about 2 hours of driving from your base. You can list up to 20 service areas, and Google asks you to be as specific and accurate as possible.

What it means for your siteYour site should name the same area your profile does. We match the two and keep the list to places you serve today.

ZIP codes are mail routes

The U.S. Census Bureau explains that the Postal Service assigns ZIP Codes to mail delivery routes, which consist of street networks.

What it means for your siteA list of ZIP codes tells a caller little about where you drive. We describe your area by towns and drive time, and the form asks for the street address.

Town lists count as stuffing

Google's spam policies, updated in August 2026, give examples of keyword stuffing. One is a block of text that lists the cities and regions a page is trying to rank for.

What it means for your siteSkip the 40-town footer. We name your area in a sentence or two and list only the towns you work in most.

What you get

What our home service website design includes

Every build covers the parts below. We do the area work first, because it decides the menu, the forms and which town pages exist at all.

A service area page that is true

Your towns, a drive-time edge from your shop and a plain note on the places you skip.

Trip fees and minimums by zone

Each zone shows what it adds to a visit and the smallest job you take that far out.

Arrival windows you can keep

Honest windows for each zone, so a promise made on the page still holds at the edge.

An address-first quote form

The job address is the first question, and requests from outside your area get a polite reply at once.

One area, everywhere

The area on your site matches the one on your Google Business Profile, word for word.

Pages that load on one bar

Light pages built for phones, since a homeowner may be looking you up from a wet basement or a driveway.

Side by side

Most trade sites blur the area. Here is what we build instead.

Picture a homeowner just past the edge of your area, reading two sites. This is what each one tells them.

A typical trade siteA site we build

Never written your trip fee down? That's normal. We help you set it, zone by zone, in the first week.

How it works

How a home service build runs, week by week

We map your area before we design a single page. Once the edges are clear, the rest of the plan follows.

Want to plan ahead? How to judge the answers a web designer gives you

  1. Week 1

    Map where you go

We get on a video call with whoever books your jobs. Together we mark where you go gladly, where a trip fee kicks in and where you say no.

  2. Weeks 2 to 3

    Write the pages

Our writers draft the area page, the fees, the service pages and the form questions. You approve every word before design starts.

  3. Weeks 3 to 6

    Design and build

We design the area page and the quote form for a phone first, build on WordPress and send each request to your inbox or CRM.

  4. Weeks 6 to 8

Test from the edge, then launch

Before launch, we send a test request from an address just past your edge and check what the site tells that person. Then we go live and fix any bugs free for 30 days.

Plans and pricing

What does home service website design cost?

Most single-trade companies fit our $1,400 plan, which covers up to six pages: your main services, your area and a contact page. Several trades or a long service list call for bigger sites at $2,800, and 30 or more pages costs $5,600. Each price is one payment, with the writing done for you.

Want a tool that prices the trip from the address? That is custom software, and it starts around $15,000. Most trades never need it, because a clear zone table does most of that job.

FAQ

Home service website design questions

What owners ask when we tell them the service area comes first. Still curious? Email sales@keygrow.co.

On the site. A fee that a homeowner reads before booking is part of the price. The same fee, first heard at the door, feels like a trick, and that is the version that turns up in reviews. We list it by zone so the math is plain.

Describe it the way your dispatcher does on the phone: the towns you cover, plus how far past them you will drive. A drive-time edge from your shop reads better than a radius, because roads and rivers don't follow circles.

It costs you the calls you were turning down anyway. The people who still call are inside your area, which gives your office back the time it spent saying no.

No. Build a town page only where you do steady work and have something true to say, like the jobs you do there most. Google's spam policy names blocks of city names as an example of keyword stuffing, and copied town pages help no one.

Yes. We put the job address first. If it falls outside your zones, the form can show a polite note and, if you like, the name of a company you trust.

Yes. We keep your zones, fees and arrival windows in one place in WordPress, so one edit updates every page that uses them. Your team gets a short walkthrough before launch.

A one-trade company with five or six core services usually fits our $1,400 plan. Add a second trade or many more services and you move into bigger sites at $2,800. Past 30 pages, the price is $5,600. All three are single payments with the writing included.

Six to eight weeks for most builds. The first week goes to mapping your zones and fees with whoever books your jobs. That step takes the most thought, since the answers usually live in one person's head.

Yes. Google asks for a service area that is specific and accurate, within about 2 hours of driving from your base. If your site claims a wider area, a caller sees two answers and has to guess which one is true.

If your far zone takes an extra half hour to reach, yes. A fast promise that fails at the edge costs more trust than a slower one you keep, so we set each window with whoever dispatches.

Free 15-minute call · No obligation

Ready when you are. Let's map out where you go.

Tell us the towns you cover and share your current site. We'll show you what a caller at the edge of your area sees today, and what a clearer site would cost.
